Neil Aves Memorial Match

Friday 25th October was filled with heartfelt moments and incredible rugby as we gathered at Amersham & Chiltern Rugby Club to honour the life of Neil Aves. It was a beautiful evening dedicated to a man whose passion for the game and support for both Chesham Stags and Amersham & Chiltern rugby clubs left a lasting legacy.

In an emotional game, Amersham & Chiltern 3rd XV took on the Men’s 2nd XV and claimed victory, winning 30-5 and taking home the Neil Aves Trophy. Here are some snapshots from the night, capturing the spirit of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community that Neil embodied every day.

Neil’s dedication as a coach, mentor, and friend was felt by all who knew him, and seeing the turnout was a testament to his impact both on and off the pitch. Thank you to everyone who joined to celebrate Neil’s legacy in the game he loved.
