Chesham Stags Hall of Fame Night 20th June 2026

From 25 caps to an incredible 333, it was a hugely special evening for the Chesham Stags as we came together for our first Hall of Fame and Honours Caps night of its kind.

The evening was about celebrating the people who have given so much to Chesham Rugby Club and recognising the commitment, loyalty and memories behind those numbers.

For the first time, we formally presented honours caps to recognise significant playing milestones; 150 caps for our women and 300 for our men. With milestones ranging from 25 right through to that remarkable 333, there were plenty of achievements to celebrate.

What made the evening particularly special was the people behind the caps. We had husbands and wives receiving their honours together, as well as siblings celebrating their milestones side by side, a brilliant reminder of the families and relationships that sit at the heart of our club. 

We were also incredibly proud to recognise members who have received County Honours for their outstanding service to Chesham Rugby Club; celebrating those whose women and men who reached 150 and 300 caps respectively. 

And while the evening gave us the chance to look back and celebrate the people who have helped shape Chesham, we also had a glimpse of what lies ahead. One of our juniors, Ayla Watkins celebrated her 18th birthday on the very same night, alongside Dad, Ian, who received his 300 honours cap. 

Chesham Rugby Club has never, and will never be focussed on fixtures and results alone. It's built by the people who keep turning up, pulling on the shirt, giving their time, supporting each other and creating the culture that makes people want to belong.

With all sections of the club coming together, retired players coming out, it was a night full of pride, laughter, memories and plenty of emotion. 

And this is just the beginning. The club will continue to track playing caps and recognise those who reach significant milestones, ensuring that the commitment of our players is celebrated for years to come.
