Congratulations to Elis Brown who is Chesham Stags new Club Captain.
Elis has been a Stags player since his junior school days and is now a regular member of our 1st XV, his father Nick is the Stags Treasurer and he still plays the occasional 2nd XV game. Last Christmas they played against each other in our annual Overs v Unders fixture.
Commenting on his appointment Elis said:
"I'm honoured to take on the role of Club Captain at Chesham Stags. From U11s to now, this Club's been a huge part of my life. I'm inspired by Billy's example and excited to give back to the Club that's given me so much.”
Billy Moore is Elis’s predecessor, speaking of his successor’s appointment he said:
"Being the Club Captain for Stags over the last year or two has been an absolute honour. Working with our fantastic committee I have had the opportunity to get involved in the behind the scenes work that goes on to make our club the inclusive, supportive, and enjoyable place that it is for our members. I have loved my time in the role, but happily hand over to Elis, who is a Stag through and through. He will be a great fit, and I wish him all the best, whilst also being there for any support that is needed.”
Billy was a very successful Club Captain and the Stags committee are very confident that Elis will continue with his good work, it will be great to watch him develop the role as we continue the Future Building of our Club.
